hi,
new in civcity, new in building
I canīt trade     Quite difficult to keep happiness high, but I manage: yes, I know, houses, work, services, even a houselight and LOTS of sweepers (watch out: the more roads, the more sweepers you will need).   Trade roads to others cities are opened

but docks are stopped (zero) though I have workers.   Even the stone one, which warehouse is so near.
what else can I do?

City keeps growing, I need to keep high happiness, but I'm running out of fish

Any ideas? Thank you

Difficult to say. Did you patch the game?

Docks require a Large Boatyard which needs timber. Make sure you have one first. There should be a boat at the docks or as an icon on the map. Leave a gap between boatyard and docks. Sometimes Boatyard does not work if too near to other buildings.

If that isn't it then can you attach a save game? You need to zip it up first.

I'm not aware that sweepers affect happiness. I saw someone else say this recently. As far as I know sweepers only affect the cleanliness rating. I've had many happy cities with no sweepers at all.
If Tomnobles sees this and thinks differently perhaps he will say so.

thank you very much, I think I have understood it (I`m not an english speaker)

I download an official patch and it seems that sweepers problem I mencioned has dissapeared.

boats are actually built and waiting in the docks, and supplies of stone are close, but I'll try about the distance between the boatyard and the docks.

Anyway, I`ll start again, and try to stop a little the growing of the city

I will let you know

Click on the trade dock and choose an item to trade. With Creta you will need to buy wheat. Houses will not upgrade past medium hovel without bread. You don't need to sell anything unless you just want to.

The main happiness problems comes from not housing your citizens. Even a shack is better than nothing. This is the hardest hit to happiness (housing).

If there is a boat at the docks then the boatyard is working well. Only sometimes there is a problem.

You will need 2-3 docks in total. One for stone, one for wheat. Also one for meat if you sell it.

The picture shows my docks for stone.  The boat is loading the stone. There are 4 more stone in the docks waiting. The stone warehouse is nearby, it has some stone in it waiting for the dock worker to pick it up. Stone is brought to it by donkey (burro) from another warehouse where the stone quarry is. You can see the donkey arriving with more stone.

thanks everyone,
I started again, docks are working, it is still a difficult scenario because of the lack of fish, but we survive. . .  :)

I don't see how there can be a lack of fish. You can build more granaries if necessary and shuttle fish from one granary to the other. One fishing wharf will feed 10,000 to 12,000. I think that scenario starts you with two fish mongers, maybe add one more.
